Abstract
This study describes the social support of the community towards the implementation of inclusive education at the inclusive school of TK Pelangiku. Inclusive schools as educational institutions that accept children, with various backgrounds, study together with regular children, so that their implementation requires support from various parties, including the surrounding community. The main objective of this study is to determine the form and participation of social support provided by the community, towards the implementation of inclusive schools at TK Pelangiku. This study seeks to reveal how social support from the community contributes to the implementation of schools with an inclusive concept in the midst of the community environment. This study uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach. Data were obtained through interviews, observations and documentation involving local residents, community leaders and the school. The results of the study indicate that there were initial challenges to the establishment of the TK Pelangiku inclusive school from the community, in the form of negative views due to the lack of community understanding of the concept of inclusive schools. However, currently the community provides social support in several forms, namely emotional support, appreciation support, instrumental support and informative support. Active community involvement plays an important role in supporting the success of inclusive schools at TK Pelangiku, both in direct and indirect involvement.
