MAKNA TANDA KRITIK ISU SOSIAL PADA FILM 13 BOM DI JAKARTA (Analisis Semiotika Roland Barthes Pada Film 13 Bom Di Jakarta Karya Angga Dwimas Sasongko 2023)

This research aims to analyze the meaning of criticism of social issues in the film 13 Bombs in Jakarta by Angga Dwimas Sasongko in 2023. In analyzing, this research uses a semiotic approach, film is one of the relevant fields of study for semiotic analysis, because semiotics in film refers to the study of using symbols or signs to understand and convey a meaning. The movie 13 Bombs in Jakarta discusses how a group wants to change the broken system in the country with a bomb that has been placed and is ready to be detonated. Using Rolan Barthes' semiotic analysis, the researcher examines the meaning with denotative, connotative, and myths built through visual and audio symbols in the film. The results found by the researcher show that there is a meaning of social issue criticism by categorizing 5 social issues. Each category discusses population problems, poverty problems, religion and belief problems, crime problems, and bureaucratic problems that occur in society.
