PEMAKNAAN PERGAULAN BEBAS DALAM FILM DRAMA ROMANTIS (Studi Resepsi Siswa SMKN 1 Gempol Jurusan DKV yang telah Menonton Film Little Mom)

Amidst technological developments that open wide access to sexual content, this study aims to determine the meaning of SMKN I Gempol students majoring in Visual Communication Design towards promiscuity in the romantic drama film Lattle Mom. This film was chosen because it presents social realities that are close to the lives of teenagers, such as premarital pregnancy, lack of parental supervision, and unlimited dating styles. This research uses a qualitative approach with an intrinsic case study method, and is analyzed using Stuart Hall's (1973) reception theory through the encoding-decoding method. The results of the study show that most of the informants are in a dominant-hegemonic position, they accept the moral message in the film as a whole and consider free association as deviant behavior. Others are in a negotiating position, namely accepting media messages but adjusting them to personal views or life experiences. This study confirms that film as a mass communication medium can be an educational tool as well as a reflection on social values if accompanied by guidance and support. critical understanding of the audience.
