Paternity leave is a policy regulated in Article 6 Paragraphs 1 and 2 of the Childbirth Law Bill, which relates to the provision of leave for State Civil Apparatus (ASN) in Indonesia, particularly related to childbirth. Many media outlets report on paternity leave when a wife gives birth to provide information and education to the public. This coverage aims to increase public understanding of paternity leave and emphasize the husband's involvement and support during childbirth, which is crucial in efforts to reduce maternal mortality. Examples include Antaranews.com and Republika.co.id. Based on the above problems, the author conducted a study with the aim of identifying and analyzing the framing of news about paternity leave in the online media Republika.co.id and Antaranews.com, and the differences in the framing of news about paternity leave between Republika.co.id and Antaranews.com. The author in this study used a qualitative research method with an interpretive research type. Primary and tertiary data sources with data collection techniques in the form of documentation and text review obtained by the researcher will be analyzed using the framing analysis method. The results of the study showed that Republika.co.id tends to use emotional headlines and has social relevance, by framing the issue of paternity leave from the perspective of society. In contrast, Antaranews.com focuses more on delivering information formally and based on facts, emphasizing the perspective of the government as the authorized party. In compiling leads, Republika.co.id often combines facts with narratives that build emotional connection, while Antaranews.com is more concise and direct in conveying information.
