Abstract
This study discusses the strategies implemented by the Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDes) Randualas in developing the Lembah Serimpi tourist destination in Randugede Village, Plaosan District, Magetan Regency. Lembah Serimpi is one of the tourist attractions initiated as an effort by BUMDes to encourage local economic growth based on village potential. This study aims to identify and analyze each stage of the strategy carried out by BUMDes starting from planning, implementation to management evaluation. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection through in-depth interviews, field observations, and documentation of official village documents and reports on tourism business unit activities.
The development strategies carried out by BUMDes Randualas include planning based on local potential such as natural beauty and community culture, mapping infrastructure and accessibility, implementing the construction of tourism facilities in the form of swimming pools, huts, and culinary areas, as well as promotion through social media and local communities. Despite facing obstacles such as limited human resources and managerial knowledge, active community participation is the key to the success of the program.
The results of the study show that the BUMDes Randualas strategy is able to provide a positive impact on the village economy, such as increasing Village Original Income (PADes), opening up employment opportunities, and strengthening village institutions. The approach based on community participation and local potential makes this tourism development run sustainably. Therefore, the BUMDes Randualas strategy can be used as an example of a best practice model in village tourism development that empowers communities actively and independently.
