Abstract

Isolated students are students who cannot adapt well in relationships, which makes them rejected by their peers and have no peers. Poor social relationships such as unsportsmanlike, quiet or shy, generally make it difficult to establish good social relationships. Students' inability will result in rejection in the social environment, both inside and outside the classroom. Students who are shunned by their friends have difficulty exchanging ideas with their friends, this of course will lead to a decrease in student academic achievement and become passive when learning takes place. The long-term impact of student isolation concerns students' psychological disorders and their ability to adapt to the next stage of development. The purpose of this study is to describe the factors that cause the condition of isolated grade IV, V, VI students at SDN Kedemungan II.
This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, which requires observing problems that occur in schools based on isolated students to obtain clear and accurate information. This research was conducted at SDN Kedemungan II Pasuruan. This research uses sociometry, interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis in this study is through data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. Checking the validity of the data using triangulation of sources and triangulation techniques.
The results of the study were that there were 7 students who experienced isolation. Based on the results of the diagram, it states that the factors that cause low social interest and lack of being able to adjust most students experience are followed by factors of lack of confidence, like to do their own activities, lack of sportsmanship and lack of tolerance.
