This study aims to examine the implementation of the Civic Education
(PPKn) teaching module in shaping the nationalism character of second-grade students at SD Negeri 1 Petungsewu. The background of this study is based on the importance of instilling nationalism values from an early age to form a generation that loves their homeland, respects diversity, and has a spirit of unity. The urgency of this research arises as a response to the challenges of globalization, the fading of national identity, and the limited teaching approaches that effectively internalize nationalism values at the elementary school level. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. Observations were conducted directly during PPKn learning activities in the second-grade classroom. Interviews were conducted with the principal, second-grade teachers, and students to obtain in-depth data. Documentation, including the PPKn teaching module and photos of learning activities, was used to support the findings from observations and interviews. The results indicate that the PPKn teaching module explicitly integrates nationalism values such as love for the homeland, appreciation of national symbols, and respect for differences. When combined with active learning methods such as discussions, educational games, and creative assignments, the module has proven effective in enhancing students’ understanding and attitudes toward nationalism. The teacher’s role as a facilitator is also a key factor in relating the learning materials to the students’ daily lives. Therefore, the systematic and contextual use of the PPKn teaching module contributes significantly to the, development of nationalism character in students.
