Abstract
Translation is often found in Arabic language learning. In learning activities, the translation of texts in textbooks is usually carried out by teachers by reading the meaning or translation to students, so that students' ability to translate texts is less developed. This research aims to describe translation strategies in the `Arobiyyatî textbook that can be used by students in the practice of translating textbooks and explain the form of communicative translation of several texts in the `Arobiyyatî textbook with the help of the translation strategies that have been described. This research method uses a type of qualitative research with a library research approach, by collecting information through the process of observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis by means of data reduction, presentation and drawing conclusions. The translation strategies used to support communicative translation in this research are: (1) tabdîl wa ta'khîr/putting forward and ending, (2) ziyâdah/adding, (3) ḥażf/discarding, (4) tabdîl/replacing. This research produced a communicative translation of the `Arobiyyatî textbook in paragraph form using literal and communicative translation methods.
