Background: Final year D3 Nursing students often face high pressure in compiling written work as part of graduation requirements. This pressure can affect the quality of sleep, stress levels and health of students, especially final year students when preparing scientific papers. Purpose: Therefore, this study aims to determine the description of sleep quality and stress levels in final semester students who are preparing KTI D3 nursing. Method: The research method uses a triangulation test which is used to classify the strength of the data. Sources of information were obtained from three participants. Data were collected using semi-structured interviews and observation. Results The research results obtained three major themes: 1) Sleep quality and sleep quantity, 2) Sleep disorders, 3) Sleep disorder factors. Conclusion: based on the research, the three participants admitted to experiencing a decrease in the quality and quantity of sleep during the process of compiling scientific papers (KTI), which was marked by insufficient sleep duration and dissatisfaction with sleep. In addition, they also experienced various forms of sleep disorders, such as difficulty sleeping (insomnia) and waking up in the middle of the night. Factors that cause sleep disorders include academic pressure, workload, and anxiety about KTI results. Overall, this condition has an impact on the emergence of psychological stress, such as feelings of sadness, anxiety, and despair. Thus, it can be concluded that the KTI compilation process has a significant influence on the quality of mental health and sleep of the participants.
