Abstract

This research aims to analyze the dynamics of interpersonal communication within friendships between students working as host parties and their campus peers. Using a qualitative approach and George Herbert Mead's symbolic interactionism theory, the study explores how perceptions, self-identity, and social meanings are formed through interaction processes. The findings reveal that initial negative stigma toward the host party profession gradually shifts to a more open and inclusive perception through intensive interpersonal communication. Social background, personal values, and communication patterns significantly influence the dynamics of these relationships. These findings highlight the importance of openness, empathy, and self-reflection in building social relationships within a diverse campus environment.
