Abstract

The development of the PRAMKA media (Pop-Up Book on Food Chains)
was motivated by problems that occurred in Class V at SDN 02 Pakisaji. There
was minimal use of instructional media, and students experienced difficulties in
the IPAS subject, especially in the topic of food chains, due to the absence of
real-life examples resembling animals or plants. Instructional media is very
important for this material because the need for visualization helps students
better understand the concepts. Therefore, the researcher chose to develop the
PRAMKA media (Pop-Up Book on Food Chains) to help students understand
the learning material more easily through appealing visual support and the 3D
shape of the book.
This research uses Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE
development model, which includes the following stages: (1) Analysis, (2)
Design, (3) Development, (4) Implementation, and (5) Evaluation. Data
collection techniques in this study included observation, interviews,
questionnaires, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used were
qualitative descriptive and quantitative descriptive analysis.
The result of developing the PRAMKA media (Pop-Up Book on Food
Chains) showed a material validity score of 96%, which falls under the category
of "very good validity," and media validation with a percentage of 81%, also in
the "very good" category. The students’ questionnaire responses reached 97%,
and the final evaluation test obtained an average score of 81. Therefore, it can be
concluded that the PRAMKA media (Pop-Up Book on Food Chains) is feasible
to be used as instructional media for teaching the food chain topic.
