Abstract
This study aims to examine the role of Scout extracurricular activities in fostering the Pancasila Student Profile character traits among fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 1 Landungsari, Dau Subdistrict, Malang Regency. The Pancasila Student Profile encompasses six dimensions: faith in God Almighty and noble character, global diversity, mutual cooperation, independence, critical thinking, and creativity.
This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection techniques included interviews with the principal, homeroom teacher, and Scout instructor; observations of Scout activities involving 20 students; and documentation as supporting data. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing.
The results of the study indicate that Scout activities play an important role in instilling the values of Pancasila Student character, particularly in the dimensions of cooperation, critical thinking, independence, love for the homeland, and creativity. Activities such as group games, collaboration during camping, and skills training serve as effective media for character development. In addition, the dimensions of Faith in God Almighty and Noble Morality are also reflected through spiritual habituation activities conducted at the beginning and end of each Scout session. Despite challenges such as limited facilities and the lack of active participation from some students, the school strives to overcome these issues through more engaging approaches and by involving parental support.
