Abstract

This study aims to analyze the feasibility of laying hen farming (RAS) at UD. Maju Jaya in Suralaga Village, Suralaga District, East Lombok Regency. The materials used in this study were 3.000 Day Old Chick (DOC) Strain Isa Brown CP-909 which were kept in Open House cages for 1 period and one period for 22 months. The method used was a descriptive case study with data collection techniques through interviews. Observation, and documentation. The variables observed included total costs, revenues, profit and loss, Hen Day Production (HDP), Break Even Point (BEP), Benefit Cost Ratio (BCR), and payback period. The results showed that the total maintenance cost was IDR 1,885,097,235 with total revenue reaching IDR 2,150,042,000. Profit and loss analysis showed a profit of IDR 264,944,765. The Benefit Cost Ratio (BCR) value of 1,14 indicates that this business is feasible to run. The Break Even Point (BEP) value of production is 85,686 Kilograms. The payback period shows a very short investment return period, which is 1,14 periods. The conclusion of this study is that the egg-laying chicken farming business at UD. Maju Jaya is feasible to run and has the potential to provide significant benefits for farmers.
