APLIKASI TERAPI DEEP BREATHING DENGAN BERDZIKIR TERHADAP NYERI PRE-KEMOTERAPI PADA PASIEN NHL (NON HODGKIN LIMPOMA) SINONASAL

Background : Lymphoma, especially sinonasal Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma (NHL), is a cancer that attacks the lymphatic system and can cause symptoms such as facial pain, nasal congestion, and olfactory disorders. Pain in sinonasal NHL is caused by tumor pressure on surrounding tissue or nerves.Pain management involves pharmacological and non-pharmacological approaches. Deep breathing techniques can stimulate the release of endorphins and reduce anxiety, while dhikr helps reduce stress and increase psychological resilience.
Research Methods: This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study research (CSR) strategy and purposive sampling technique, with the criteria of Sinonasal Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma (NHL) patients experiencing pain. The Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) was used to measure the level of pain. This study examines nursing care for sinonasal NHL patients in the Bunaken room of Dr. Saiful Anwar Hospital, Malang City, by collecting data through a nursing assessment format, including diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing.
Results: The results of this study indicate that deep breathing therapy with dhikr has been proven effective in reducing pain levels in patients with Sinonasal Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma (NHL).
Discussion: The application of deep breathing therapy with dhikr can be an additional strategy in treatment aimed at reducing pain levels in patients with Sinonasal Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma (NHL). However, pharmacological treatment is also needed in collaboration with other health workers.
