Abstract

Selling goods online has become an increasingly common phenomenon in today's digital era.
However, one of the challenges often faced by sellers is the risk of damage to goods during the
delivery process, especially through delivery services such as the Indonesian Post Office. This
problem raises the question of the legal protection available to sellers in dealing with damage to
goods that occurs during delivery. This research aims to investigate the legal protection problems
faced by online goods sellers regarding damage to goods when using the Indonesian Post Office
delivery service. The main aim of this research is to analyze what categories of light or heavy
goods damage experienced by online goods sellers and explain the compensation procedures
which online sellers can do by claiming insurance at the Malang City Branch of the Indonesian
Post Office according to the relevant procedural stages. Finally, the author also explains the
implementation of legal protection for online goods sellers against damage to goods during
delivery at the Malang City Indonesian Post. The research method used includes literature study
to collect information about legal regulations related to shipping goods and causal studies to
analyze sellers' real experiences in dealing with damaged goods during delivery. Data will be
analyzed for online sellers of goods.
