Abstract

Background: HIV/AIDS disease is increasing every year. Based on the Malang Regency Health Office in 2023, it was found that the highest case number 1 was found in Turen District as many as 24 people with HIV/AIDS among adolescents. Therefore, research is needed on the overview of the level of HIV/AIDS knowledge in adolescents
Objective: To find out the overview of HIV/AIDS knowledge in adolescents
Methods: The type of study was descriptive and cross sectional design. The sample of this study was 47 respondents with purposive sampling techniques. Data collection uses questionnaires. Data analysis uses descriptive analysis of frequency and percentage distribution.
Results: It was shown that the results of the frequency and percentage distribution of each variable, that the level of knowledge of adolescents at SMK PGRI Turen about HIV/AIDS was in the good category (n=21.45%), the fair category (n=24.51%), and the bad category (n=2.4%). Conclusion: The results in this study show that some respondents have a sufficient level of knowledge about HIV/AIDS.
Conclusion: The results in this study are that some respondents have a sufficient level of knowledge about HIV/AIDS, this is because teenagers at SMK PGRI Turen have never received information about HIV/AIDS at school.
