Peran Lembaga Adat Dalam Kepemimpinan Adat (Studi di Negeri Hative Besar Kecamatan Teluk Ambon Kota Ambon Provinsi Maluku)

This study aims to find out more about the role of customary institutions in customary leadership located in Negeri Hative Besar, Teluk Ambon District, Ambon City, Maluku Province with consideration of location selection because an interesting phenomenon was found, namely related to the preparation of a definitive king. In this study, the theory of social stratification developed by Max Weber is used with the use of a three-dimensional approach in it, including: social power, previlige, and prestige. By using qualitative methods and supported by the use of unstructured interviews, non-participant observations, and documentation. As well as the obtained data is processed using data analysis techniques in the form of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawn. So that the findings in this study were found in the form of institutional roles that there are several roles that influence customary leadership. First, playing a role in the state government which includes the function of supervision and evaluation. Second, it has a role for the head of the soa who is involved in solving the problems that occur in each soa and the last one plays an important role in determining the definitive king or preparation of the matarumahparenta . which goes through various processes, including seminars regarding the preparation of the matarumah parentah, slakbom or seeing the lineage, and the determination of the matarumah parentah.
