Abstract

The aim of this study is to develop a structured student worksheet (LKPD) and digital card media based on the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model that are valid, practical, and effective in improving the mathematical literacy skills of junior high school students. The subjects of this study were 32 students from class 8.7 at SMP Negeri 6 Malang. This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method referring to the ADDIE development model, which consists of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Based on the research findings, the average score from media experts was 83.69%, which falls into the "very valid" category. The average score from material experts was 85%, also categorized as "very valid." The practicality analysis resulted in a score of 80.88%, indicating that the media is "very practical." The effectiveness was tested using a paired sample t-test to determine the improvement in students’ mathematical literacy skills. The test yielded a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000, which means 0.000 < 0.05. The average pre-test score was 44.65, while the average post-test score was 85.12, indicating that the media is effective. In conclusion, the developed digital card media based on the PBL model meets the criteria of being valid, practical, and effective for enhancing junior high school students' mathematical literacy.
