Abstract
Background: Every woman dreams of healthy, well-maintained facial skin, and with increasing age facial care becomes important for women, especially basic facial skin care which is called basic skincare. To maintain overall skin health, two basic processes are carried out, namely cleansing and moisturizing. Moisturizer is a product that functions to balance the hydration that occurs in the skin. Objective: This research is to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and the behavior of using moisturizer among Pharmacy Students at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang. Method: This research uses a descriptive method with a cross-sectional approach. The instrument used was a questionnaire distributed via Google Form. The sample in this study was 98 female students. The sampling technique used for this research was a non-probability sampling technique, purposive sampling type. Based on the results of bivariate analysis, the relationship between knowledge and moisturizer usage behavior was obtained from the chi-square test results < 0.05, so there was a significant relationship between knowledge and usage behavior. Results and Conclusions:Cross tabulation between the level of knowledge and behavior is known. Based on the table above, it is known that respondents who have a "Good" level of knowledge about moisturizers are 53 respondents (54.08%), as many as 6 respondents (6.12%) have "Fair" knowledge and as many as 39 respondents (39.80) had "Poor" knowledge. Respondents had "Positive" behavior as many as 54 respondents (55.10%) and "Negative" behavior as many as 44 respondents (44.90%).The results of data analysis using the chi square test between knowledge and behavior obtained an Asymp sig value. (2 sided) is 0.042 < 0.05 so it is stated that there is a significant relationship between knowledge and behavior.
