Abstract
Background : Tuberculosis is a chronic infectious disease of the lungs
caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Pulmonary tuberculosis is a
contagious infectious disease caused by the bacteria Mycobacterium
tuberculosis which can prey on many organs in the body, especially the lungs.
Objective : To analyze the relationship between knowledge of pulmonary TB
patients and patients' sense of compliance in taking anti-tuberculosis drugs
(OAT) at the Cukir Community Health Center, Jombang Regency.
Methods : This research design is descriptive analytic using a cross sectional
study. This sampling used accidental sampling with a non-probability
sampling technique. Sampling was calculated using the Slovin formula and a
sample of 25 respondents was obtained. Data analysis using SPSS 26.0. The
relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable was
carried out using chi square analysis.
Results and Conclusions : In this study, the results of the relationship
between sociodemographics (age, gender, education, occupation, length of
treatment, treatment category) and adherence were obtained, namely p value
= 0.656; 0.656; 0.192; 0.604; 0.515; 0.515 (no relationship). Family support
for godliness with p value = 0.835 (no relationship). Knowledge of
compliance with p value = 0.019 (there is a relationship).
