Abstract
This study aims to evaluate the adequacy of Dry Matter Intake (DMI) and Organic
Matter Intake (OMI) in 25 Brahman Cross Steer feedlot cattle. The study was
conducted over one month, from October to November 2024, at PT Kariyana Gita
Utama, Farm Cicurug, Sukabumi. The feed provided consisted of a formulated
concentrate and ammoniated rice straw, following feedlot standards. This research
employed a survey method strengthened by observations to measure DMI and OMI.
The results showed that the highest DMI reached 10.79 kg/head/day, with an
average of 10.15 kg/head/day. The highest OMI was 10.38 kg/head/day, with an
average of 9.34 kg/head/day. The DMI as a percentage of body weight ranged from
2.56% to 2.96%, with an average of 2.70%. It can be concluded that the DMI and
OMI of Brahman Cross Steer cattle raised in a feedlot system have met the
nutritional requirements as per the standards set by the National Standardization
Agency (2020).
