Mitos Pemimpin Perempuan di Pesantren (Analisis Semiotik Pada Karakter Alina Suhita Dalam Film Hati Suhita)

The research titled "The Myth of Female Leaders in Islamic Boarding Schools (Semiotic Analysis of the Character Alina Suhita in the Film Hati Suhita)" explains the myth surrounding the character Alina Suhita as a female leader in an Islamic boarding school (Pesantren). The aim of this study is to understand the signs of the myth of female leaders in Pesantren as constructed by the character Alina Suhita in the film Hati Suhita. This research employs Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis theory with a research method that includes denotative meaning, connotative meaning, and myth by analyzing signs and meanings in 9 selected scenes from the film Hati Suhita. The research paradigm used in this study is the critical paradigm. The research approach is qualitative. This type of research is interpretive, and its foundation is based on media text analysis. Data collection in this study utilizes documentary techniques. The results of this research indicate that Alina Suhita, as a female leader in Pesantren, is capable of making the Pesantren develop and progress. This is evidenced by the numerous positive responses and impacts felt by those around her. The study also explains that the character Alina Suhita as a female leader in Pesantren in the film Hati Suhita is able to change societal perceptions of women and their roles in leading an institution or organization, especially in the field of education. Furthermore, the community's views on the customs and learning methods present in Pesantren have also changed, as Pesantren can now compete with other educational institutions through modern and advanced learning and supporting facilities.
