Abstract
The role of Panggon Moco in literacy-based community empowerment in Siwalan Village, Panceng District, Gresik Regency, The theory used in this study is the theory of "A.C.T.O.R.S" theory in community empowerment. A = authority. C = confidence and competence. T = trust. O = opportunities. R = responsibilities. S = support. researched using qualitative research methods in the hope that it can change the lives of the people of Siwalan Village for the better, especially in improving literacy in the village. This study aims to understand how Panggon Moco's role in improving the literacy of the people of Siwalan Village, as well as the positive impact resulting from these literacy activities. Research data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, then analyzed using qualitative analysis techniques. The results showed that PanggonMoco's role in literacy-based community empowerment in Siwalan Village has had a positive impact, such as increasing people's interest in reading and reading skills, as well as improving the life skills and economy of the people of Siwalan Village. This shows that PanggonMoco has an important role in building and improving the literacy of the people of Siwalan Village.
