Abstract
Poverty alleviation programs are still being intensively carried out, this is to develop the community's economy in a better direction. Considering that the number of poor people is still very high, it is necessary to have an effective and equitable empowerment program for all communities in Indonesia so that poverty reduction can be carried out well and regularly without discrimination by any party. For this reason, the government is presenting the Family Hope Program (PKH) to accelerate poverty reduction. This research aims to find out how the Batu City Government implements the acceleration of poverty alleviation through the Family Hope Program (PKH) at the Batu City Social Service.
Ginanjar (2012) states four factors of poverty, namely first, low level of education. Second, the low level of health. Third, limited job opportunities. The four conditions are isolated. Based on several expert opinions, it can be concluded that poverty is a condition where people are unable to fulfill basic needs such as clothing, food, shelter, education and health. This study used qualitative research methods. Data collection was carried out using interview and observation methods.
Results of research on the Implementation of the Family Hope Program (PKH) in Accelerating Poverty Reduction (Case Study at the Batu City Social Service) During the process of implementing the family hope program in 2020 to 2021 there were 26,524 families who registered as aid recipients registered with DTKS. The Family Hope Program distributed aid with a total of 7,701 aid distributed in 2020 to 2021. This imbalance occurred because the data in the DTKS was all poor families who registered for aid, not the data for PKH Family Hope Program registrants. For this reason, it is necessary to increase the amount of assistance provided.
