RESIKO KERJA DAN PERLINDUNGAN TERHADAP KURIR PAKET DALAM INDUSTRI E-COMMERCE SHOPEE EXPRESS

This study aims to determine the risks of work and protection received by couriers, especially couriers who works at Shopee Xpress. The background of this study is because work as a courier is still often considered trivial by both consumers and the company itself based on the circulating cases on social media and news articles. This study uses a descriptive research type with a qualitative approach. Data collection obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation methods. In-depth interviews were conducted with research subjects, namely Shopee Xpress couriers. In this study, the theory used is the “One Dimensional Man” theory by Herbert Marcuse. The results of this study indicate that the work risks experienced by couriers can be external and internal risks. Even so, the Shopee Xpress company has been able to fulfill the basic rights of its couriers and provide legal protection and sufficient benefits to be said to be prosperous for its employees and make couriers working in their company feel that the results of the risks they face are commensurate.
