EVALUASI KINERJA PENGEMBANGAN INVESTASI DAERAH DI KABUPATEN MAGETAN

Regional investment plays a strategic role in driving local economic growth and enhancing the competitiveness of a region. Magetan Regency, as one of the regions striving to develop investment, has implemented various policies to create a conducive investment climate. This study aims to evaluate the performance of regional investment development in Magetan Regency based on four key factors: factor conditions (infrastructure, skilled labor, and available natural resources), demand conditions (local and regional market support), related and supporting industries (the existence of industrial clusters that support investment), and firm strategy, structure, and rivalry (regulations and competition that drive innovation).
The research method used is a qualitative approach, with data collection techniques including literature studies, secondary data analysis, and interviews with relevant stakeholders. The study results indicate that the local government has made efforts to promote investment through various strategies, such as infrastructure development, skilled workforce provision, and regulatory and incentive policies for investors. Additionally, digitalization efforts through the SIPPINTAR platform are expected to enhance transparency and efficiency in the investment licensing process. However, the implementation of these policies still faces challenges, such as uneven infrastructure readiness, suboptimal cross-sector coordination, and the unpreparedness of digital systems in investment services.
Therefore, improvements are needed in digital-based licensing systems, strengthening synergy between the government and the private sector, and optimizing investment promotion based on regional competitive advantages to enhance investment attractiveness in Magetan Regency sustainably.
