Abstract

This study aims to: (1) describe the development of students’ religious character through the religious habituation program at SMA Surya Buana Malang, (2) describe the implications of development on students’ religious attitudes at SMA Surya Buana malang. The approach used to achieve the above objectives is to use a descriptive qualitative research approach with the type of case study/field study research. In data collecting the author uses observation, interview, and documentation methods. As for data analysis, the author uses descriptive qualitative with data condensation then displays the data in the form of a brief
description and concludes flexibly to answer the formulation of existing problems. The result shows that (1) the development of students’ religious character through religious habituation program in SMA Surya Buana Malang including prayersin congregation, BTQ (reading and writing Qur’an), sharing one verse,
multilingual, shaking hands with teachers, the commemoration of Islamic holidays, (2) the implications of Development on Students’ Religious Attitudes in SMA Surya Buana Malang including discipline, religiosity, independence, and responsibility.
