ANALISIS NILAI - NILAI PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER PROGRAM UNGGULAN SENI TARI TRADISIONAL PADA SISWA KELAS V SD NEGERI 1 SANANREJO

Extracurricular dance activities at SD Negeri 1 Sananrejo act as a means of
activity to develop students' interests and talents in the field of dance and to foster students'
character values. The traditional dance program at SD Negeri 1 Sananrejo is used as a
tool for cultural preservation. The extracurricular role of traditional dance at SD Negeri
1 Sananrejo is also useful for fostering the character of students, hence the findings of hard
work, discipline, and creativity. Based on the results of observations and interviews with
accompanying teachers, it was found that students have quite low creative character
values. Students are less innovative, and the level of student creativity is quite low. This is
shown by the results of the products made by students. This study aims to describe the
values of character education in the excellent program of traditional dance in grade V
students at SD Negeri 1 Sananrejo.
This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data were
collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, with the main informants
being teachers and students. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman
model which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. To
ensure data validity, triangulation techniques were used. This research was conducted at
SD Negeri 1 Sananrejo, Turen sub-district, Malang district, East Java.
The results showed that the character values contained in extracurricular
traditional dance at SD Negeri 1 Sananrejo Planting character values is done through
habituation in practice and performance, reflecting the profile of Pancasila students. The
positive impact of this activity can be seen in everyday life, such as increased discipline,
cooperation, concern for the environment, and pride in preserving the nation's culture.
Thus, extracurricular dance not only develops students' talents, but also forms a good and
integrated character.
