Abstract
This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the management of the Karya Bakti Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDes) as an effort to develop the local economy in Ngiliran Village, Panekan District, Magetan Regency. The focus of the study includes the effectiveness of the management of four active BUMDes business units, the application of the Hexagonal Model of Local Economic Development (PEL), and the identification of supporting and inhibiting factors.
This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions.
The results of the study indicate that BUMDes Karya Bakti is quite effective in achieving its goals, such as utilizing local resources, creating jobs, and contributing to Village Original Income (PAD). However, adaptation and human resource development are still less than optimal. The application of the Hexagonal Model of Local Economic Development (PEL) shows advantages in terms of target groups and strategic locations, but there are still shortcomings in business diversification and innovation. Supporting factors include local potential and strategic locations, while inhibiting factors are limited human resources and unstructured evaluations. This study recommends increasing human resource capacity, structured evaluations, and business diversification to increase the effectiveness of BUMDes.
