Abstract
Mathematics learning, especially in the material of measuring length, requires the development of students' collaboration skills to improve conceptual understanding. This study aims to analyze the collaboration skills of grade 1 students at SDN Kauman 2 Malang City. Through a descriptive qualitative approach, this study is to describe the collaboration skills of students on the material of measuring length for grade 1 at SDN Kauman 2 Malang City.
This study uses a research method that uses source triangulation which includes documentation, observation and interviews with students and teachers regarding students' collaboration skills. Documentation during activities and observations were carried out to observe the interactions and contributions of students in groups, while interviews aimed to obtain more in-depth information about the application of collaboration in learning. This research was conducted at SDN Kauman 2 Malang City, which is located in Kauman, Klojen District, Malang City, East Java Province in the even semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. The data analysis technique used the Miles and Huberman model which includes data collection, data presentation, data reduction, and drawing conclusions.
The results of the study showed that the collaboration skills of grade 1 students of SDN Kauman 2 Malang City were at a good level, with indicators of positive interdependence, interaction in learning, individual responsibility, collaboration skills and group work skills. The lowest indicator had a percentage of 75% while the highest result reached 100% with satisfactory results. However, aspects that need to be improved are the ability to provide suggestions and opinions and interaction with teachers. The conclusion is that the importance of developing learning strategies that encourage collaboration to improve students' social and academic skills.
