PENGARUH GAYA KOMUNIKASI PENYIAR TERHADAP MINAT DENGAR MASYARAKAT KOTA SURABAYA (Studi Pada Pendengar Program Semanggi Suroboyo Radio Suara Surabaya)

Broadcasters must master the way they speak by choosing the right words to keep listeners listening to them every time they appear. The announcers of the Semanggi Suroboyo program of Radio Suara Surabaya strive to advance the radio and spread actual communication information messages. This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of the announcer's communication style on listening interest in listeners of the Semanggi Suroboyo program of Radio Suara Surabaya.
In this study using the approach of broadcaster communication style theory and interest and listening theory. This research uses a quantitative approach with an explanatory type and uses a questionnaire as a data collection method. As for sampling, it was determined through accidental sampling technique
The results showed that the value generated in the hypothesis test was 0.000 <0.05, or it can be interpreted that 0.000 is smaller than 0.05, so it can be explained that communication style has a significant effect on listening interest. In addition, the results also show that the adjusted R square coefficient of determination is 0.476 or a rounding percentage of 48% and the remaining 52% is influenced by elements that are not taken into account in the research variables. Based on these results, the communication style used by the announcer of the Semanggi Suroboyo program of Radio Suara Surabaya has a significant effect on the level of listening interest of the Surabaya City Community.
