Abstract
In reality, SDN Merjosari 04 Malang uses the independent curriculum implemented comprehensively and gradually from class I to class VI since 2022, but in the implementation of the diagnostic assessment which is part of the independent curriculum component at the school, only a few classes implemented it, namely class I and VI, but the school managed to get the highest score of 26 out of 300 schools in the city of Malang. This study aims to describe the preparation of diagnostic assessments, describe the implementation of diagnostic assessments and describe the follow-up to diagnostic assessments at SDN Merjosari 04 Malang.
The method in this study uses descriptive qualitative and collects data through interviews, documentation, and observation, then the data is analyzed in several stages, namely collecting data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. As a source of data, namely the principal, teachers of class I to class VI, and also representatives of students from class I to class VI.
The results of this study are that SDN Merjosari 04 Malang has implemented a diagnostic assessment and is in accordance with the diagnostic assessment module guideline procedures provided by the Ministry of Education and Culture, only one component that was not implemented was that the class did not determine the implementation schedule so that the school implemented the diagnostic assessment at the beginning of the new school year. but there are several classes that did not implement the assessment, namely classes II, III, IV, and V. This happened because there were several obstacles, namely not fully understanding the assessment and also the burden of teacher administration which was already quite a lot and also the majority of teachers in the school.
