Abstract

Based on observations and interviews with the classroom teacher on October 17, 2025, an analysis of the needs of fifth-grade students at SDN Giripurno 03 was conducted. The findings indicate that some students still struggle to maintain focus, are not fully active in participation, and require more interactive stimuli to stay motivated in understanding the material. Consequently, several challenges need to be addressed in the learning process, such as incorporating diverse media to enhance student engagement. Therefore, it is necessary to develop more innovative learning media that align with students' needs, one of which is a Linktree-based e-smartbook.
This study aims to develop a Linktree-based e-smartbook as a learning medium for the Natural Sciences and Social Sciences (IPAS) subject, specifically on the topic of light and its properties. The development follows the ADDIE model, which consists of five main stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. This research employs both qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques to assess how the development of the Linktree-based e-smartbook can enhance students' understanding of light and its properties. By utilizing Linktree, the e-smartbook is designed to be easily accessible and more interactive for fifth-grade elementary school students.
The development of the Linktree-based e-smartbook yielded excellent results based on various aspects of validation and user responses. The material expert validation received a score of 93%, while the media expert validation obtained 95%, both classified as excellent. Student evaluation results after using this media showed an average score of 96, reflecting a significant improvement in understanding the material. Furthermore, students' responses to the Linktree-based e-smartbook reached 98%, indicating that they found it engaging, easy to access, and effective in supporting the learning process. The development of this Linktree-based e-smartbook is expected to enhance students' learning interest, assist teachers in creating diverse learning experiences, and serve as an inspiration for future research in digital media development.
