KEPENTINGAN INDONESIA DALAM KERJA SAMA BILATERAL DENGAN JEPANG (IJEPA) DALAM PERDAGANGAN OTOMOTIF

IJEPA is a bilateral cooperation in the economic field between Indonesia and Japan. namely the first bilateral free trade agreement conducted by Indonesia, especially in the automotive sector. The formulation of the problem in this journal is what is the national interest of bilateral cooperation between Indonesia and Japan in IJEPA related to trade in the Japanese automotive industry in Indonesia. The results showed that Indonesia's interest in bilateral cooperation with Japan in the IJEPA in the Japanese Automotive Industry Trade in Indonesia, there is a conclusion that in the short-term interests, namely the main interests that must be achieved by a country. Regarding self preservation, which is the core interest of the bilateral cooperation between Indonesia and Japan in the IJEPA related to the trade case in the Japanese automotive sector in Indonesia, it is to support the welfare of the Indonesian people. Then the medium-term interests, which consist of improving the economy that the cooperation is used to increase market access for goods, increase Japanese investment in Indonesia, while in best practice the cooperation between Indonesia and Japan in the IJEPA is to make Indonesia the center of the global automotive industry. Rivaling the Thai automotive industry and the Indian automotive industry.
