PERFORMAS PAKAN CALF STARTER 2 TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN BOBOT BADAN PADA PEDET SAPI POTONG UMUR 4-5 BULAN DI KECAMATAN KEDUNGKANDANG MALANG

This study aimed to determine feed consumption, chest circumference and body weight of 4-5 month old calves fed calf starter 2 (SC 2). The material used was 10 calves aged 4-5 months belonging to 10 traditional farmers. The methods used were survey and experimental methods. Variables observed included feed consumption, chest circumference and body weight. Data analysis used quantitative descriptive analysis method. The results of the research analysis showed that Calf Starter 2 (CF 2) feed had an effect on the feed consumption gain of 4-month-old calves on the first 5 days of 2321.6 g and on the second 5 days of 3600 g. The feed consumption gain of 4-month-old calves on the first 5 days was 2321.6 g and on the second 5 days was 3600 g. The feed consumption gain of 5-month-old calves on the first 5 days was 2280 g and on the second 5 days was 3600 g. Chest circumference of 4- month-old calves on day one was 107.8 cm, on day five was 108.4 cm and on day ten was 108.6 cm. While in calf 5 on the first day 114.6 cm, on day five amounted to 116.2 cm and on day ten amounted to 117 cm. The conclusion of this study is that feed consumption, chest circumference and body weight of calves fed calf starter 2 increased with increasing calf age.
