Abstract

Based on observations and interviews conducted by the researcher, one of the problems faced in the teaching and learning process at Elementary School Muhammadiyah 08 Dau is the lack of student engagement. This lack of engagement is due to insufficient motivation to learn and a lack of understanding of the concepts being taught. This often occurs in Science and Social Studies, particularly in the topic of cultural diversity, which negatively impacts their learning outcomes. Therefore, the researcher aims to develop the Liput (Five Rotating Islands) learning media for the topic of cultural diversity as a learning support tool to engage students, encourage active participation, and motivate them in the learning process.
This research uses the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The data collection techniques used in this research include observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The data analysis techniques employed are descriptive qualitative data analysis and quantitative data analysis.
The results of the development of the Liput (Five Rotating Islands) learning media for the topic of cultural diversity show that the material validation received a percentage of 93.75%, while the media validation 91.66%, indicating that both the material and the media are very good and valid for trial testing. Meanwhile, the educator's response to the media received a percentage of 100%, and the students' 91.17%. Based on the responses from the use of this learning media, it can be concluded that the developed and created Liput (Five Rotating Islands) learning media effectively supports and aligns with the learning process, and is highly effective in increasing student participation and motivation in learning.
