MAKNA TANDA BULLYING DALAM FILM ANIMASI (Studi Analisis Pada Film Series Animasi Viral Hit)

Currently, bullying behavior is rampant, especially in the educational environment, bullies usually try to create a commotion to assert their superiority. Researchers use the animated film series Viral Hit as a research subject, because in the film there are scenes that contain elements of bullying. This study aims to analyze the meaning of bullying signs contained in the film. This study uses a semiotic approach that aims to describe the signs of bullying contained in the film, this approach involves verbal language such as dialogue and non-verbal language such as behavior and body language. This study is a qualitative study that aims to interpret, explain, and understand the object of research through interpretation of observations, hearing, and understanding of researchers. This study uses a semiotic model from Roland Barthes, which consists of three stages of analysis, namely Denotation, Connotation, and Myth.

The results of the study show that this animated film not only functions as entertainment, but also conveys a profound social message about the impact of bullying and its consequences on individuals and society. Through visual representation and dialogue, this film raises awareness of the importance of the meaning of struggle and how social media can affect a person's life. This study is expected to contribute to further understanding of how media, especially animated films, can influence the perception and behavior of its audience regarding the issue of bullying.
