Abstract

The increasing business competition demands companies to optimize employee performance to achieve organizational goals. Good employee performance is influenced by various factors, including work motivation and a conducive work environment. CV. Kharisma Mutiara Jombang, as a company in the construction sector, faces challenges in maintaining employee productivity and work effectiveness to remain competitive. This study focuses on analyzing the effect of work motivation and work environment on employee performance. Work motivation includes aspects such as rewards, incentives, and career development, while the work environment encompasses both physical and psychological factors. The main hypothesis in this study is that both work motivation and work environment significantly influence employee performance, with the work environment being the more dominant factor. The research method used is quantitative with a survey approach. Data were collected through questionnaires from 120 production employees of CV. Kharisma Mutiara Jombang. The results of the linear regression analysis show that work motivation and work environment have a positive and significant impact on employee performance. The work environment proved to be the more dominant variable in improving employee performance compared to work motivation. The conclusion of this study emphasizes that companies need to enhance their work environment and employee motivation strategies to achieve optimal productivity. The implications of this research can be used by management to design more effective policies to improve employee performance.
