DESKRIPSI PEMAHAMAN ORANG TUA DALAM STIMULASI KOMPETENSI EMOSI ANAK USIA DINI

Emotional competence is a person's ability to recognize and manage their own and other people's emotions. Stimulation of aspects of emotional development in early childhood needs to be carried out to achieve optimal development according to the stages. This research aims to provide a description of parents' understanding in stimulating aspects of emotional development in early childhood. The research method used is a quantitative research method that uses a descriptive approach. The measuring tool used was a questionnaire on parents' understanding of providing emotional stimulation. The sampling technique was purposive sampling with research subjects of parents who had children aged 3-6 years as many as 100 people with middle to lower socio-economic status levels. The results of parental understanding in stimulating emotional competence in early childhood were 83% in the medium score range. Thus, education and practice are needed in the introduction of stimulating emotional competence in early childhood.
