Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of Village Government Performance on Public Trust given the problem of village funds, which is a problem that is not light and causes social friction in the community regarding the distribution of village funds. Through several information, namely mass media platforms and social media, it is known that there is inequality in the distribution of BLT (Direct Cash Assistance) to the community, the arrears of salaries of a number of village officials, and protests about the injustice and unaccountability of the village government. This research was conducted in Madapolo, West Madapolo and East Madapolo Villages, North Obi Sub-district, South Halmahera Regency, North Maluku Province. This research used quantitative methods. The research sample is the village community selected using non probability sampling method with accidental technique. The types of data used are primary and secondary data obtained using a questionnaire (questionnaire). This study uses simple linear regression analysis to test the effect of independent variables on the dependent variable using PLS. The results showed that village government performance on public trust had a positive effect with a total effect of 61%.
