Abstract
Abstract. Employees have an important role in the organization. Knowing employee job satisfaction and affective commitment can help organizations in managing existing human resources. Employees who have high job satisfaction will have high commitment to the organization. This research aims to examine the role of job satisfaction on employee affective commitment to the organization. This research uses a correlational quantitative approach. The subjects of this research were 85 hospital employees, taken using the Total Sampling technique. There are two questionnaires used in this research, namely the Job Satisfaction Survey (JSS) scale and the Organizational Commitment Questionary (OCQ) scale. The data analysis method uses multiple linear regression. The results of the analysis show that there is a simultaneous influence of job satisfaction on employee affective commitment. The contribution of job satisfaction to employee commitment to the organization is 29.1%. The results of the analysis of job satisfaction dimensions show that only aspects of the nature of work have a significant effect on employee affective commitment.
