FAKTOR PENYEBAB KEKAMBUHAN PADA PASIEN RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS

Background: Rheumatoid Arthritis is an autoimmune disease that attacks joint areas such as wrists, fingers, feet, and knees. Patients with rheumatoid arthritis often experience symptoms of recurrence such as pain, swelling, and stiffness. These relapses are often associated with physical activity, type of eating, and lifestyle. This study aims to analyze the factors that cause recurrence in rheumatoid arthritis.
Method: The research design is correlative descriptive using data from patients with rheumatoid arthritis at the internal medicine polyclinic at Wava Husada Kepanjen Hospital in 2024. Using the questionnaire "Overview of Risk Factors Causing Relapse in Patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis" which was developed again by the researcher as needed. Data analysis using chi-square test and logistic regression with sig. (P-Value)< 0.05.
Results: The results of multivariate analysis of 62 respondents showed that physical activity factors with (p-value 0.026) and lifestyle factors with (p-value 0.016) had a significant effect on the occurrence of relapse in patients with rheumatoid arthritis. The most dominant factor influencing the occurrence of rheumatoid arthritis relapse was lifestyle with an Exp(B) value of (4.716) and physical activity of (4.179).
Conclusion: Factors causing recurrence in rheumatoid arthritis concluded that heavy physical activity, poor lifestyle can influence the appearance of symptoms of recurrence of rheumatoid arthritis, consuming types of food that are high in purine do not have a significant effect in causing symptoms of recurrence. And the factor that is most at risk of causing symptoms of recurrence is lifestyle.
