Abstract
In the workplace, all employees fundamentally have responsibilities, rights, and obligations to support and provide a sense of security in carrying out their work. On the other
hand, in running the company's operations, the company as the employer has work standards and rules that must be obeyed and followed by the employees working there. Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are designed to set boundaries for employees and provide guidance for working effectively and efficiently. However, employees, as actors or implementers, face challenges and obstacles in implementing the applicable SOPs. This
research is qualitative and descriptive, explaining what makes employees comply or not comply with existing rules. There are 5 informants in this study, consisting of 3 actor informants who are marketing employees of PT X, an expert informant who serves as the head of the division, and an informant who is the driver of PT X. The method used in data collection is semistructured interviews. This research concludes that employee compliance and non-compliance are based on 4 dimensions: Work Status, Personal Responsibility, Supervisor Presence, and Influence of Co-workers.
