In general, a bridge is defined as a structure that connects two parts of a road that are separated by obstacles, such as deep valleys, river channels, lakes, irrigation canals, rivers, railroad tracks, highways that do not cross land, etc. The Luwihajji-Medalem Bridge has a total length of 220 m which is divided into 5 segment, namely 4 segment of 40 m and 1 segment of 60 m. Through this final assignment the author tries to re-plan the construction of the Luwihaji - Medalem Bridge on its longest segment of 60 m using a Parker Type steel frame. The background to choosing the Parker Type steel frame is as another alternative to existing steel frame bridge construction in general because this type of bridge has a higher aesthetic value.
The regulations used in this planning include the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) 1725-2016 for Bridge Loading Regulations, for steel structures refer to the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) 1729 – 2020, the regulations are used as a reference to provide suggestions in planning bridges in Indonesia that can guarantees an acceptable level of safety and economy of the bridge structure.
Based on the analysis results, it was found that the upper structure of the bridge uses a profile of WF 500 x 300 x 16 x 28 (main girder), WF 500 x 300 x 16 x 28 (vertical beam), WF 500 x 300 x 16 x 22 (diagonal beam), WF 900 x 400 x 19 x 40 (transverse girder), WF 400 x 400 x 13 x 21 (longitudinal girder), WF 250 x 250 x 9 x 14 (transverse wind ties), WF 250 x 250 x 9 x 14 (bridge floor wind ties), WF 200 x 200 x 8 x 12 (bracing ties crosswind).
