Abstract

The redesign of the Gresik Sehati Hospital building uses composite steel and the Load Resistance Factor Design (LRFD) method. Composite steel was chosen for its ability to support high loads with lighter weight and ease of construction. In this final project, several planning standards were applied, including SNI 1729-2020, SNI 1726-2019, and SNI 2847-2019. The design results indicate the use of a 120 mm thick composite slab with a 0.65 mm floordeck and M8-150 mm wire mesh. For beams, a WF 350×175×6×9 profile was used for secondary beams, and WF 450×200×9×14 for primary beams, with M19-type shear studs to withstand shear forces. The columns were designed as composite columns with a WF 350×350×12×19 profile and 4 D20 main reinforcements. The connection used is a Bolt Stiffened End Plate 4ES (BSEP 4ES).
