Abstract

Education plays a crucial role in shaping the mindset and behavior of
students, especially amidst the increasing number of violent incidents such as
brawls and criminal acts by teenagers. The background of this study emphasizes the
importance of religious education in shaping children's morals and personalities.
This study aims to explore the role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers
in increasing the piety of students in the home environment, as well as identifying
the obstacles faced by teachers in this effort. This research method involves
observation and interviews with students at SDN Tukul II, Sumber District,
Probolinggo.
The results of the study show that although religious education in schools
provides good knowledge, its implementation at home still needs to be improved.
Many students have not fully practiced religious teachings in their daily lives.
Therefore, synergy between parents and teachers is very necessary. This study is
expected to provide benefits for schools in improving the quality of religious
education, as well as provide insight for researchers regarding the development of
students' pious behavior. Thus, it is hoped that religious education can contribute
significantly to forming a generation with noble and responsible morals.
