Abstract
Poor fine motor skills can hinder your child's ability to complete daily tasks, leading to decreased self-confidence and independence. One way to improve fine motor skills in early childhood is through origami activities involving the process of folding paper into various shapes. This study aims to determine the effect of teaching origami activities on the development of fine motor skills in early childhood. The researcher used a quantitative approach with a Quasi-Experiment one group pretest-posttest design. The population was kindergarten children group A aged 4-5 years, with a research sample of 3 children with low fine motor skills. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon signed rank test. The results showed that there was an increase in the fine motor posttest scores of all subjects, but there was no effect of origami learning on the fine motor skills of early childhood children with a sig value = 0.102> 0.05 so that it can be interpreted that the hypothesis is rejected.
