Abstract

This study aimed at describing the implementation of Al-Barqy-based Qur'an reading at Sanggar Al-Barqy Karangploso Malang and identifying the supporting and inhibiting faktors of this implementation. The purpose of this study is a qualitative approach with a phenomenological type. The research was conducted at Sanggar Al-Barqy Karangploso Malang with informants including the head of the Sanggar, two teachers, and three students. The collection of data involved observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques employed included thematic analysis, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The findings indicate that the implementation of Al-Barqy method through three activities opening a lesson (greeting, prayer, attendance, and review of the previous lesson), core activities (aim, material, method, and media), and closing (giving feedback, motivation, and prayer) is effective. The Al-Barqy method for learning Al-Qur'an is supported by fast learning methods, teaching competency, learning facilities, and student motivation. While inhibiting faktors include students’ ability backgrounds and their motivation and lack of facilities and adequate tools. The solution is the application of a personal approach, adding facilities, providing advanced training for teachers, and giving motivation to all the students through reward programs.
