Abstract

The Kondang IwakBridge is an infrastructure connecting Kedungsalam andBalekambang, with a length of 65 meters.Constructing this bridgehas purposetoincrease the road network's capacity in accommodating traffic flow. In this study,the foundation will be designed using piles as the main foundation element. Pilesare a type of deep foundation made from reinforced steel with spiral reinforcementof specific sizes. The bridge structure consists of both superstructure andsubstructure. The substructure includes the abutment and piers, each servingspecific functions. Based on the calculations, the foundation load on the abutmentis ƩV = 807.253 tons and ƩH = 109.948 tons, while on the piers, it is ƩV = 557.425tons and ƩH = 10.592 tons. The designed dimensions of the abutment are 7.5 metersin height, with a pile cap measuring 5.5 meters x 11 meters. Meanwhile, the piershave a height of 4 meters and a pile cap measuring 6 meters x 11 meters. Thecalculated bearing capacity of the foundation below the abutment is 1449.066tons/pile, the same as for the piers. The foundation settlement due to the load is 1.3cm on the abutment and 0.8 cm on the piers
