ANALISIS KEMAMPUAN KOMUNIKASI MATEMATIS SISWA DITINJAU DARI KEPERCAYAAN DIRI SISWA KELAS XI IPA SMA

This study aims to analyze the mathematical communication skills of 11th-grade science students at SMA Negeri 4 Madiun by considering their confidence levels. The research utilized a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. The research subjects included students with high, medium, and low levels of self-confidence. Data were collected through self-confidence questionnaires, mathematical communication skills tests, and in-depth interviews. The results indicate that students with high self-confidence levels are capable of expressing mathematical ideas clearly, both orally and in writing. Students with moderate confidence levels tend to require guidance to enhance their communication skills, while students with low confidence levels face challenges in coherently conveying mathematical ideas. The study recommends the development of teaching methods that support student confidence to improve their mathematical communication abilities.
